The Board of Directors of AMAG Group AG appointed Noah Heynen as the new Managing Director of AMAG Energy & Mobility. The Helion co-founder took on the role in addition to his position as CEO. He succeeded Martin Everts, who moved to IWB as CEO.
Noah Heynen knows energy and mobility from practice
Heynen is 38 years old and studied electrical engineering. In addition, he completed an MBA at the University of St. Gallen. Together with founding partner Samuel Beer, he built up Helion from 2008 onwards. As a result, a leading Swiss provider of solar systems, heat pumps and charging infrastructure emerged.
Since the AMAG takeover in 2022, Heynen accompanied Helion’s transformation. Consequently, he knows the challenges of the energy system from his own entrepreneurial experience.
Energy and mobility grow together at AMAG
As Managing Director, Heynen pushes the convergence of energy and mobility further forward. Because electromobility and solar energy are becoming pillars of a decentralised energy system. Their combination therefore counts as a decisive competitive advantage.
AMAG holds a strong foundation for this. This includes Helion’s energy products as well as the chargeON solution from autoSense. On top of that comes the company’s own charging network.
Heynen stressed that energy and mobility belonged together. He wanted to use precisely this synergy more deliberately within AMAG. CEO Helmut Ruhl added that AMAG was now continuing the integration consistently at a personnel level too.
Martin Everts moved to IWB as CEO
Heynen succeeded Martin Everts, who left after five years. Everts built up the AMAG Energy & Mobility unit from scratch starting in 2021. Afterwards, he oversaw the integration of Helion. Now he took over the leadership of IWB as CEO.
