Scania Focuses on Electric and Gas Vehicles at IAA Transportation 2026

Scania will showcase its diverse range of powertrains in Hanover from September 15 to 20. The exhibition lineup includes four battery-electric trucks, one gas-powered vehicle, and several diesel models. Two of the electric trucks are body-mounted vehicles designed for everyday use. Scania Switzerland will be on hand to assist customers.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks has announced a limited-edition special model to mark its 130th anniversary. The edition comprises 400 Actros-based vehicles. For the first time, a model in this edition will also be available with battery-electric propulsion. Details will follow at the IAA Transportation. This is significant news for Switzerland.

Volvo Trucks shows electric trucks with 700 kilometres of range

Volvo Trucks uses the IAA 2026 for a broad technology showcase and exhibits eight vehicles in hall 11. Because the manufacturer sets up a test track directly at its stand, visitors can drive the FH Aero Electric with up to 700 kilometres of range themselves. Volvo also shows a test vehicle with a hydrogen engine and the new D13 engine.

Renault Trucks will showcase several new products at the IAA 2026 in Hanover. The focus will be on the 2027 model year T diesel truck and the E-Tech T 780 electric tractor-trailer. According to the manufacturer, the latter has a range of over 660 kilometers. The new DE13 diesel engine also offers improved fuel efficiency. The trade show runs from September 15 to 20, 2026.
