Share of Electric Cars Rises to 30 Percent in August

The Swiss new-car market declined by 0.6 percent in August. In contrast, all-electric vehicles rose by 48.7 percent. Their monthly share reached 30.2 percent. For the first time since the start of the year, plug-in vehicles surpassed hybrids.

Fiat Grows by 59 Percent in Switzerland

Fiat reports a 59.1 percent increase in sales in Switzerland for the first half of 2026. In Europe, the brand grew by 21.7 percent. However, the absolute numbers remain small. 1,042 vehicles represent less than one percent market share. The baseline was also low.
